BETA TESTThanks for testing NonoGotchi! Built for Nothing Phone 3 (fully working). Nothing Phone (4a) Pro should work too, but the graphics should look hilariously ugly due to the graphics having not been rework for the smaller 13×13 LED matrix. It should also run on any Android phone (without Glyph of course) — please report back to pet@jkn.me!
What is it?
A Tamagotchi-style virtual pet that lives on your phone's Glyph display (the LED matrix on the back).
How to use
- Feed, clean, play, and pet your creature using the buttons
- Shake your phone to wake up your pet
- The pet grows through stages: Egg → Baby → Child → Teen → Adult
- Watch the weather sync with your location
Download
Installation:
- Download the APK file
- Open the file on your Nothing Phone
- If prompted, enable "Install from unknown sources"
- Complete the installation
- Activate NonoGotchi as a Glyph Toy in Settings
What to test
- Does the Glyph display work properly?
- Is the pet responsive and animations smooth?
- Try the new "Weather on Glyph" toggle in Settings
- Let your pet get hungry/tired and see how it reacts
There's a secret easter egg hidden in the app...
Known issues:
- This is pre-release, expect bugs
- Graphics are a work in progress — I am is not an artist, and it shows. Visual polish is coming! If someone wants to volonteer?
- Database resets may happen between updates
- When setting your city for weather, you must confirm by pressing the button on the right
- Weather is live and syncs with your location, but it's purely cosmetic (rain/snow/sun on the display) — it doesn't affect your pet despite what the app may suggest
Privacy:
No data is collected or shared, at all. None. Not even here on the web site. The app only uses internet access to retrieve weather information based on the location you manually enter.
